Due to the different preferences individuals have for displaying or browsing their mailboxes, this system provides this feature option for you to set up your most comfortable personal usage environment. In the "Environment and Personalization" section on the lower left settings page, click on "Mailbox Basic Settings" to begin setting up.
Mailbox basic settings include:
Appearance:
- Split-screen mode
- Spacing between email listings
- Reduce dynamic effects.

Appearance
Split pane mode and spacing between mail list
In "Settings" > "Environment and Personalization" > "Mailbox Basic Settings," you can adjust the spacing between the split pane mode and the email list, allowing you to customize the spacing and layout of the email list.
There are two options:
- Splitting can be set as: Default, Compact.
- Vertical splitting only supports tight arrangement.

Reduce dynamic effects.
You can set the "Reduce Animation Effects Switch" in [Settings] > [Environment and Personalization] > [Mailbox Basic Settings].

Dark Mode
In "Settings" > "Personalization" > "Mail Basic Settings", you can set up "Dark Mode".
Use system fonts.
In "Settings" > "Environment and Personalization" > "Mailbox Basic Settings", the spacing between email lists can be set to use the system font.
- If the "Use system font" function is enabled, the text font in the FX interface will use the font settings of the computer operating system, and the font settings will vary depending on the different computers logged in.
- If the "Use system font" function is turned off, the text font in the FX interface will use the default font of Mail2000. Different operating systems have different default fonts, which are:
- The default font for the Windows operating system is Microsoft JhengHei.
- The default font for the Mac operating system is PingFang.
Environment Settings
Due to different individuals having various needs for displaying or browsing their mailbox environment, this system provides this feature option for you to set up your most comfortable personal environment. In the "Settings" section of the left-side menu, expand "Environment and Personalization," and click on "User Environment" to enter the page for configuring your user environment.
In the "Usage Environment" section, five major settings are provided:
- Display Mode for Email Information: Set the default display information when reading emails.
- Editor Display Range:
- Time Zone: Set the time zone for your location.

- Line spacing in the list: The height of the letter list can be set according to your preference.
- Email
- Reading Mode: You can choose your preferred reading mode, including top and bottom split, left and right split, and full page mode.
- Default Reading Method: Emails are set to be read in HTML or plain text format by default.
- This system provides three types of blocking methods and blocking conditions:
- Not blocking: This system will not block any images in any of your mailboxes.
- All Blocked: This system will block all images in your mailbox.
- Read emails not blocked: This system will not block images in emails that you have already read.
- Email List: Choose the number of emails to display per page in the inbox or other email folders.
- Automatically Retrieve External Emails: There are three options for setting whether to automatically retrieve external emails upon login: Do not retrieve, retrieve and send notification, retrieve but do not send notification.
- New Message Notification: Set how long after receiving a new message you will be notified.
- Mailbox Sorting Settings: Set the way mailbox sorting is done.
- Signature Settings: Set the response action after receiving a letter that requires a signature. Options include: asking whether to sign for the letter each time, always signing for the letter, or not signing for the letter.。
- Edit document type: Default to use "Default Plain Text", "Default HTML", "Force Plain Text", "Force HTML" to edit document.
- Delete draft after sending: When enabled, the system will delete the draft of the email after you send it.
- Reply Full Name Setting: Enter the name you wish to use for all outgoing correspondence.
- Reply Settings: Set to reply with attached original text, reply with quoted text, or regular reply (no quote, no attached original text).
- Quote Marks: Quotation marks used when replying to emails.
- Please note that your personal information will be included in the electronic business card when sending it out.
- Forward email format files as inline: Set to forward email format files (e.g. attachments in .eml format) as inline.

Receiving Emails via POP3
- Method of deleting messages after receiving: Choose the method of deleting messages after receiving, including system default, do nothing, delete directly, and move to trash.
- Please note that the POP3 settings on the external email client may also affect whether the emails are kept on the server.
- Add a tag to the email after receiving it: Choose the tag you want to add after receiving the email.
- New message mark after receiving the message: Choose whether to remove the new message mark after receiving the message, mark the received message as read, with the default value set to remove the new message mark.

Receiving emails via IMAP4
- Synchronous deletion: Immediately deleting the deleted emails from the server.
- Backup to Recycle Bin: When "sync deletion" is enabled, you can choose to backup deleted emails to the recycle bin, otherwise they will be deleted directly from the server.
Reading emails
Email Preview
If the automatic preview function for emails is enabled, clicking on any mailbox page will preload the topmost email.
In "Settings" > "Environment and Personalization" > "Mail Basic Settings," you can set whether to enable or disable the automatic email preview feature.
The content of the letter is converted into a link.
When the function to convert URLs in email content into hyperlinks is enabled, the URLs in the email content will be displayed as hyperlinks that can be directly clicked to access the webpage; conversely, when the function to convert URLs in email content into hyperlinks is disabled, the URLs in the email content will be displayed as plain text.
In [Settings]>[Environment and Personalization]>[Mail Basic Settings], you can set up the email body to convert links.
