Virtual directories provide another way of categorization beyond the contact groups created by users; the system automatically categorizes contacts in the address book based on frequency of use, alphabetical order, phonetic spelling, and stroke count, allowing users to quickly browse and find contacts.
To search for the contact "Ivan" without being sure of the directory where the contact is located, you can use a virtual directory to categorize the contacts alphabetically, allowing you to quickly browse all contacts starting with the letter I.
- In the "Contacts" section of the left-hand side menu, expand the "Virtual Directory." The system provides the following four virtual categories:
- Classified by common use.
- You can choose to categorize contacts as "Contacted Today," "Frequently Contacted," "Contacted This Month," or "Not Contacted in Three Months" to quickly view contact information for that group.
- Classified by alphabet.
- You can choose to categorize by English alphabet to quickly browse contact information for that attribute.
- According to Zhuyin classification
- You can choose to categorize by Mandarin phonetic symbols to quickly browse the contact information of that attribute.
- Classified by Strokes
- You can choose Chinese stroke classification to quickly browse the contact information of that attribute.
- Classified by common use.
