Mail2000 can integrate with the email encryption features provided by Openfind's MailGates email protection system, such as ZIP and PDF encryption. Users can directly select whether to use MailGates' on-demand encryption feature when composing emails within the Mail2000 Webmail interface. The operation steps are as follows:
- When editing the email, simply click on the icon to activate the encryption mechanism instantly.
- The recipient will receive the following encrypted message and will need to request the password from the sender in order to unlock and read it.
- At the same time, MailGates will compress attachments with the agreed password and send a notification email to the sender. The sender can then communicate with the recipient through various messaging methods such as email, instant messaging apps, phone calls, text messages, etc., to notify the recipient to decrypt the files.
